Ooty officially known as (Udhagamandalam) is a town in The Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. i made this trip with family in dec 2019. The mountains or the hills always attract me and ooty was a wonderful breakaway from my routine. We started this journey from hubli at around 7.30 am, it was a road trip. From hubli it is 11 hour journey it was an amzing experience, we passed by a beautiful forest where, we met an elephant, deer, porcupine etc. seeing these animals free into the forest made me feel so happy . We reached ooty at around 10pm we made a check in into the hotel called”yloo retreat “and a good location, the room qas amazingg and well maintained. Next day i woke up at 6.30 am , it was 11 degrees celsius we wer litterally frezzing. Wohhhh!! Waht and amzingg climate it was. At around 7.30 am with the warm clothes onn we took a walk to the tea stall and had a warm of tea . After freshen up we left the hotel and visited the “botanical garden” which is amazing in its own way with all the different kinda of flowers and age old tress. We had pre-booking of our next resort that is “hotel lakeview” which has a great location and beautiful ciew. If you guys ever visit ooty I suggest do stay in this resort trust me it is beautiful and you will enjoy your stay. Well! In ooty there are a lot of places scattered all over ooty . Near the hotel lakview which is situated in the west lake road we visited “the boat house” a wonderful place view , water was not that clean but thats fine. There boating facilitie available over there one can even have a rode on the horse. “Ooty lake”which is similar to that “boat house” both are wonderful in their own way .( I haven’t visited ooty lame as I already visited boat house) there are many wonderful places to visit in Ooty like the pine forest, rose gardey, thunder world ( good for kids) , dodda betta peak, tea and chocolate factory, and many more. Next day we decided to visit coonor which is 20 km away from ooty. It was around 12pm and city was covered with mist fog. In coonor we visited lamps rock, sims park, dolphins nose,& wellingtons lake. Since the city was covered with mist fog we couldn’t see the view but it a wonderful experience. Lamps roack is surrounded with tea gardens one can get their pictures clicked by the photographers . This is my wonderful experience in ooty. The memories I brought back will be treasured forever & lastly dont forget to get back home the chocolate which are plentiful in every shop and around ooty and yes ease the toy train i missed it out
