As a young girl from Algeria who has travelled to the Algerian desert and the 1200 km coast, Turkey has been a mesmerizing adventure, from its beautiful Bosphore, islands, architecture to one of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. When I travelled there 3 years ago, I was left with a very bad impression about it; I was actually robbed.. 1500$!!!! I lost the enthusiasm that I had when I usually travel. However, last summer I decided to give it another try and live the experience at its fullest, and I'm so glad that I did. My second time being in Turkey was fascinating, I got the chance to connect with the locals and get to know their traditions and customs deeply, as well as the different cultures that it holds since it is a cosmopolitan city. I went deep into the hallways, had tea and Baklava with locals, prayed at mosques.. ohhh let's talk about those Mosques! The architecture is just breath taking, at first, I thought that only the big and most known ones where well maintained like The Blue Mosque or Sultan Sulayman Mosque, but each and every single one, even the small ones in between the neighbourhoods, had the same charm and got my mouth wide open. Another point about architecture would be the traditional Baths or as they are called 'Hamam', it is part of the Ottoman Empire heritage built with marble and mosaic, a place that should be visited. One thing that I will not forget about Turkey would be how nice the Turkish people were with me, it was heart-warming and felt like home. Now, Turkey became one of my favourite spots in the world. Would I want to go back? Definitly, and I will certainly.
