Making a local connection India

After several years of living in my hometown I left my place to discover a new zone away from my comfort place. I was curious about this new ethnicity as it was several civilizations ahead of ours. I decided to land in Istanbul after a brief discussion with a university friend who is a local. I took the flight and reached new continent. It was evening and the Turkish kindness began from airport, a stranger got me bus ticket as my currency was not sorted yet and money vending machine was unavailable at my convenience. Teşekküruler ederim! Upon reaching the main city I was greeted with warm hug and taken to my home for next few days. It was indeed home away from home, sitting was cleaned and tidied for a guest perfectly. Discovering the neighborhood was nearly to perfection as I was in the heart of Istanbul, Beyoğlu. If you ever happen to visit Istanbul, this place is all heart. The street food, street music, fishing, transportation, people everything is beautiful. I had few favorites and it will keep a piece of my heart forever I guess. Üskudar is one such treasure. One cannot forget the ferry rides, cool sea breeze, çay and by the sea sahlep (vanilla drink). The wonderful moments as a traveler can be just put in few words but the experience is truly inexplicable. One must have local friends to hangout and have late night walks in busy streets with hop-on hop-off parties which lasts forever. The vibe you live in these Mediterranean cities are truly amazing. I totally envy the people who get to experience such diversities on a regular basis with more than several million tourists being part of it regularly.
