My story is about a small undiscovered town that has so much to offer the world. Tzaneen: Talk Of The Town In Tourism and Travelling By Chegofatso Modika The town is known to be small and never in the front pages .That is coming to end in this life time because it is now described big because environmentalists have come to realize that, it is one of the most fertile regions with tropical and subtropical agricultural place. Tzaneen area is a subtropical paradise with indigenous and exotic plants. Tzaneen lies peacefully at the foot of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains in the heart of a forestry area .Over the years Tzaneen has attracted tourists from all over the world .It is often praised for its ability to be forevergreen and also to have one of the most unique rulers of women who can make the rain with t9heir gifts that are said to be passed on from generation to the next one. As small as the area may be it is rich with Valencia oranges ,grapefruit, bananas, mangoes and macadamia nuts.People in the area are trying to make use of the land but its not always successful ,we see that with the tea plantation that was taken from a white family after blacks gained their independence .The tea plantation is still abandoned and not cultivated ever since .Thanks to the young people in Agriculture in the area who want to get the tea plantation running and that is good news because it means there’s hope for the unemployed with no skills .Looking at the area it is not just the tea plantation that is not functioning anymore but a whole other things .That is an attraction to business people who are looking for land or business opportunities. The town is rich with pine and blue gum plantations .The fact that they are high in rainfall makes it easy for agriculture to takes place. Tzaneen has become of the tourism attractions over the years with places like Magoebaskloof which is really famous for hiking and camping .The people in the area of Tzaneen have more opportunities to increase employment with all the facilities they have such as the fertile land or farms such as ZZ2 to create more jobs and make good use of the land .The area has very affordable hotels and lodges for tourists on the go. The area is also famous because it’s the first one to come up with the team of Vhakegula soccer for elderly people .Tzaneen is also one of the cleanest towns in Limpopo province. The Hans Merensky is an ideal Tourist point and also offers nearby accommodation. Tzaneen invites you to linger awhile and enjoy the rivers, waterfalls and dams, as well as tea gardens .Tzaneen has a very unique range of bird species, trees and animal life .Along the Magoebaskloof when you are driving along you can see small monkeys wondering around and enjoying the misty weather in the mountains and some tourists even stop their cars by the benches to enjoy the view. Another tourism destination is the King Walden’s family gardens in Agatha .Here everyone can relax in the serene setting for picnic .The King Walden offers superb, traditional accommodation with a 3 star guest house. Visitors will enjoy the original turn antique family heirlooms. Tzaneen offers tourists a beautiful stay .At night Tzaneen is alive with pubs-night spots such as Crawdaddys. Tzaneen has grown from a town that was once known as the small town to a big town making money and becoming more and more attractive .Its growing economically because 40% of the South African tomatoes are from Tzaneen and also have big industries for juices such as Minute Maid in Nkowankowa.
