Unleashing serenity

I didn't expect to find India

It was Rishikesh, Uttarakhand in India in February 2020, yes it's very recent that's why it's as fresh in my mind as the last meal that I had. Isn't travelling as good for our soul as food for our tummy? I heard it as a loud Yes!😊 It was a random spontaneous trip which was planned to prove self love on Valentine's day (me being a single 😄). I had heard that it's a beautiful place in lap of mountains and amazing water bodies, so this pushed me to start my 2020 travelling chapter with this location. Rishikesh is known to be one of the holiest places in the Hindu culture. The mystical environment this place holds can take you a beautiful parellel world full of peace and calmness. A magnet for spiritual seekers, Rishikesh is a perfect blend of nature, adventure and spirituality. I never expected that a place can add so much to your soul satisfying experience. Mesmerizing clouds, overlapped mountains, fast-flowing river & a series of amazing temples, that's what pretty much encapsulated the city. The River Ganga seems to flow like the masterpiece of a moody musician in Rishikesh. It is instinctive, pure and ever faithful to the essence of life. The Aarti i.e. worshipping ceremony of Ganga, brightens the whole ambience and acts as a musical therapy to your ears. The ubiquitous, charming company of yogis, and the never-dying incense wafts in its breeze is nonetheless, always a plus. At night, when a gentle breeze from the river just comes across you, words cannot describe the feeling of serenity you experience. The vibes that this city offers are full of positivity, serenity, spirituality and reverence. When the waves at Triveni Ghat come and wash away your feet, it acts like a beautiful melody playing in your subconscious mind and it transports you to a divine world. Some experiences are just meant to experience 😊 so why don't you just take an escape from the tangled wires of your daily routine, take an off from your office, take a break from your family pressures, take a pause from those deadlines, meetings and unending work and just go somewhere which feeds your soul.😊
