It was mid of the day when i started my journey from Peshawar to Kalam Valley. Kalam is a valley located at distance of 290 kilometers from Peshawar in the northern upper reaches of Swat valley along the bank of Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Kalam is surrounded by lush green hills, forests ,meadows and bestowed with mesmeric lakes and waterfalls which are worth seen features of the landscape. It was a good day of my life. On the way to KAlam there were so many attractive places which catchs my mind to natural beauty. The green trees on the road sides and in the surrounding shows the really beauty in itself. When I crossed Malakand ,it was surprising to see the crystal like water flowing at the side of the roads . When I reached Bahrain , the lake shore diverts my mind and I was shocked to see that nature gives its full beauty to this valley. I stay , there for a night. All the night I heard the attractive sound of the river flowing infront my hotel. In the morning I started travelling to kalam Valley ,this was so much exicited for me to see the natural beauty and the Kalam Historical Mosque there. The road begins to get a little rough after Bahrain 35km to Kalam, so a vehicle with four-wheel drive is preferable, although any car will make it through with a little wear and tear but it took us nine hours to travel this distance. This is because the road was devoured by the floods in July 2010 its now under construction and the Government is working on it to make it easy. But instead of this many people across the country came there to spend some time with this attractive environment. It was infact,a great experience for me as well and I enjoyed so much that I have ever before.I stay there for about 2 days.On the first day, I visited to the famous historical mosque of kalam which is located nearer to Kalam Bazar . It is hundreds of years old and no body knows the exact history of this mosque. A lot of wood work has been done on this mosque. The size of the tree trunks used in the pilers and in the roots is amazingly large. After that I visited Ushu. Usho is known for its beautiful cloudy and rainy forest. The whole forest is covered by Deodar trees which gives a unique look to the forest. In winter, the famous Ushu glacier blocks the only path to the Mahodand lake and this path is only opened again in Summer, when the snow of the glacier melts and the authorities wipe of the remaining snow from the road.On the next day ,I visited the famous Mahodand Lake which is 35Km from Kalam. The road from Kalam to Mahodand was a fear in itself. It was so dangerous to travel on this road .But its beauty attracts each person to visit there and see its natural beauty. On its way , there were lots of amazing glaciers , which gives us a pleasant surprise to me.I enjoyed the snow there . When I reached to Mahodand Valley , I was shocked to see this kind of beauty from eyes , I pictured myself that I came to paradise. I enjoyed the horse riding there , after that I take launch with my family , it was the best launch for me in my whole life because when we sit for launch , the sound of lake shores were like giving a message of peace to this environment. After that I went to Saifullah Lake.his Lake look similar to Mahudand Lake but both have difference in own beauty. There is also a big roaring waterfall near the Saifullah Lake which brings freshness in air with vapors spread in the air. . I wish I could stay there for my whole life because I had never seen this kind of peaceful environment before.
