It was a valuable opportunity, which I could go to a country where businesses are excellently developed. I was only 10 years old when I reached the highest point of the Great Wall of China in Beijing. This country is very exquisite to me, because it has all positive aspects of tourism. As a tourist, I might feel uncomfortable when travelling to another country, but the locals amazed me and it made me feel to be welcomed. Before I was travelling, I did some research and what I found was the locals in China will not be spoiling tourists that much. When I have arrived at the airport, the immigration officer looked very strict and scary to me. But actually, the immigration officer greeted me nicely and welcomed me saying, “Have a great vacation” That changed my mindset from being scared to be extremely excited to explore China. Shanghai has a big traditional market which sells many kinds of food, clothings, souvenirs, etc. This market has shown me that the locals were actually spoiling tourists very much. Every time I asked the price of certain things, they would answer and humbly asked where I came from. I was very happy, since they were spoiling me and they were also care about our trip in their country. I would proudly say I came from Indonesia and they were happy to meet an Indonesian, since they were curious about Bali. All of these has surprised me and I did not even think that locals there would be very interesting to relate with. Unexpectedly, I could feel the sense of hospitality in every single one of the locals. They were not forced to spoil the tourists but rather they were happy that tourists could visit their country. This can be categorised as one of priceless experiences through out my life. It will not happen all the time when locals kindly and making an effort to relate with tourists. This country is also rich in dialects, I had funny stories regarding to different dialects in different cities there. I tried to buy a pie which was a pork flavoured pie, but the seller did not understand what I was saying. In the end, images of pig saved me from that dialect issue. But this can teach us tourists to know their different dialects when we are travelling to different cities in China. The culinary was also greeting me indirectly, since they have unique delicacy such as pecking duck which I never tried before in my country. This famous cuisine was very delectable that I could not stop myself from eating it. In addition, the scenery was extremely outstanding and spectacular, tempting us to record them using a drone to fully captured every detail of each landscape. The Great Wall of China was not a joke, the effort of people who were building it is paid when each of the tourist reached the fourth post, where we can see the magnificent view of Beijing. Yangtze River also can’t be missed, the scenery of this legendary river can be enjoyed by cruise. China in total is a wonderful country which has every breathtaking details that you must experience by your own.
