When Dreams, come alive Growing up in the northern part of Nigeria where dreams look impossible to come alive, life was already hard enough trying to make a living with my single mum All I had as I wake up every morning was a dream and a great imagination Touring has always been a lifelong dream, and a passion I have always been fascinated by the idea of waking up in a new country, new faces, new culture, and a new life the thought of it only lights and gladden my soul. Most times I imagine myself in another country, learning a new language, surrounded by beautiful new faces, and in a new beautiful country and I have always wanted to start my own travel blog but never couldn't afford to travel on my own so had to calm myself down So while in the university, I was opportune to be selected as one of the few students to travel to Cameroon for research work, I was so excited because, such opportunities to travel come rarely or never, I was so happy; I didn't know what awaits or what to expect and that was my first step to the unknown, My country(Nigeria) has a border with these 3 countries Cameroon Niger and Cotonou and since we are all students with Nigeria’s passport we took the school bus to Cameroon. It's was almost a day journey cause we left Nigeria by7.30am and arrived by 8 pm and we had to sleep in the border and by this time I was already tired, exhausted, and excited, so excited that I am about to go on a beautiful adventure We entered Cameroon the next morning and drove straight to Yaoundé the capital city of Cameroon and our adventure starts, we check into our hotel rooms and all went out for lunch and in the evening we went out for sightseeing it's was a beautiful scenery and the beautiful faces was Just how always imagine it. I couldn’t believe it I was finally on my first adventure, I breathed in every little detail and point of difference I could find and soaked up every sight and experience, The next day we went to the research center for our research work and the next day was followed by more sightseeing and amazing places we visited, we spent 5 days in Cameroon and each of these days were so beautiful, we visited; the Mefou National Park, The National Museum of Yaoundé, and finally Mvog Betsi Ecological and Zoological Park. The city was beautiful, the language and people over there were totally memorable, and that an adventure not to forget in a hurry, just the thought of the memories and experience also the culture and the environment gives me goosebumps all over. With my current financial state; I don't know where and when my next adventure will be but I know for sure that when that time comes, I will be fully ready to take the leap into the unknown cause I know the experience and memories that I will create while there, will be Magical.
