When was the last time you felt danger? I don't mean a slight worry or an increase or a rush of adrenaline but real danger The weather was foggy but nothing to be afraid of when I began my journey on that moody, Monday morning. As I drove up the mountain, I noticed that the fog was getting thicker with slight rain showers bartering me along the way. But I didn't let this keep me down. I parked the car and started hiking up the mountain. About half an hour later I reached a field of trees. I was immediately drawn to them and went closer. The scene around me was surreal. A thick fog covered everything. The cold wind and rain were hitting the trees and my face. I could see nothing but a white veil 50 meters away from me. No soul around. Just me and the forces of nature. Alone, cold and pretty wet in an inhospitable environment. Despite my awe, I felt a slight unease. The wind was howling, moving the trees in the horizon making them shake and take weird shapes. It felt like the scene of a supernatural horror movie. I tried taking control of my brain's thoughts, silencing the unease I felt and took my camera out to document what I saw. I always feel a certain attraction to these scenes in nature as I believe, they give us a slight hint of how life must have been for the first humans. Furthermore, the feeling of being alone in such a harsh environment gives me a rush of adrenaline which I seldom feel in the city. That's the reason I like shooting in bad weather conditions. It's a different world. One most of us avoid at all costs. For me, it feels invigorating, making me forget about all worries and allowing me to be fully immersed in the present moment.
