The world was spinning around but the lake so calm. Staring into Charlotte bay by the creek we cracked a beer and laughed endlessly all day at the little things in life. As the sun set we joined the recky by the water so reflective as it glitterd across to the bar where we grab another beer and met beautiful people. As the sun set the night was wrapping up and the mosquitos lingered. An old face pops in and we are off to Elizabeth beach just over a mountain from the recky called booti booti, most say it's a lady lying on her side.Cruising along the straight road we come to a stop and pull up for the night. Perfect view of the stars on the beach and as I shut my eyes I listen to the soft waves rolling in and drift off asleep. In the morning the air was fresh around 4am my body was ready to wake. So I lay with my head against the foggy window and see the stars and the light slowly rise as the stars fade into the night somewhere else. The colours of the sun rising were magical pinks and purples I say goodbye to the last star and just before the sun comes up I jump out of the troop and my feet in the sand I walk to the water where it meets the land, with all the rain we had lots of tea tree running off the mountain side. I walk the beach as I come to crystal clear waters and dive in, I'm topless and free only me and the sea. The water was luke and calm while fosforus shows just intime before the sun glows. I walk the beach back as the breeze blew. Just perfect as I dried and collected some things for coffee. On the way to coffee we couldn't help but stop at boomerang beach just around the corner of Elizabeth we stopped and soaked up the morning sun. My friend jogged the beach while I watched the sand crabs build there homes. I stretched and practiced the balance of yoga. I also looked out to the horizon as surfers caught the waves curling from around the rocks. Surfing the morning sun. Everything has a special little meaning alot of locals see the headland shaped as a dog. I see it I thought as I sat in the sun. We arrive for coffee sunday morning theres a good bunch of early risers many people around and so kind. We sip and read something quite similar to this travel story. A daughter who left home and her mother said well your never home and the daughter said because you gave me your gene's. I laughed and moved onto Smith's lake we walked around froffee coffee to see the sandbar the sun shined hot. A moment of silence to appreciate the land and water. Fish jumping and lots of people doing what they love which I always enjoy seeing when out and about. Two love birds flying over and lots of jellyfish beached we wondered why... Top off the morning we say goodbye before we meet again travelling the coast and finding all the little things that make up for it. We found lots of relaxing spots by the water I just think I might have found my home. So there is one of the many wonders I have shared today with you all. Close to Home and quite simple. I found so much during this travel so much to be thankful and greatful for. So much love for the earth and beautiful people around. The tall gumtrees surrounding us and shading over.. I think we maybe had enough sun for one day. Everything on this small travel was just beautiful. I enjoyed sharing these moments with old friends and strangers with questions. Yes I'm local and this is one of the many things I love doing. Exploring and making the most of the little things.
