A leap into the unknown Serbia

This story begins with simple planing for holiday vacation. My two friends and me decided that Greece gives the most for our budget. First friend is from construction industry, his main objective is drink,drink and drink. Somebody will say that he have drinking problem but he drinks only on holiday. Second friend is marketing scout and his passion is exploring sites and historical data of places and me a regular office worker who have a lot o free time. As night falls we hit the road. Warm summer night can make some people nervous but me behind the wheel that was a true experience. Plan was to drive to the highway and with first sunbeam get to the beach. Of course that is not enough to say that each one of us have different driving stille and if you are long-term driver you dont like when someone comments on your driving. Because our muzic taste is similar we easy find playlists for the road. Non-smoking policy in car is something that we didn't count in time table. In modern cars you have gps devices that can really guide you to location where you wana go. Ours was some old but with true passion for travel ing. Sometimes old tehnology can get some bugs and change your wishes. Because muzic guide us we didn't think that we need to control device. After two hundred kilometres and some dark and small roads we realize that we are in bad track. But enthusiasm being free didnt get us down so we look up for some alternative. In that time we already crossing small river connected with lake. Night was young so we stops at the restaurant for meal and to get something to drink. And if you are young,free, happy you can easy attract girls and with them a angry old boyfriends. As someone who travel a lot from my experience that is custom in all parts of world. I would say only thing what was save us is some forest fire that starts near restaurant. Some people will just use situacion and live but we didnt. Joined with lokals we stopped fire and make a new friends. That was first stop we make to the beach. After that barbecue,bear,rakija songs and talk's untill sunrise. Next morning when we exchange numbers and addresses we left. Gps was connected and muzic was playing after we enter highway. It was not my turn to drive so i was reading note's about Stavros and historical buildings that Bob collect before trip. My father and his generation uses road maps to navigate and they have never been lost. Our gps on some point starts to speak "after two hundred metres turn left". At that point we know that we have problem with device because it was strait road with no turns . So with no map and with no gps we drive at unknown. At first exit we look up for some familiar town where to go. And Skoplje was our choice. When you get in some unknown town first you must know what lokals thinks about you. People from Serbia are always welcome in Macedonia. From earlier time i meet girl from Skoplje so we look up for her. It was not easy because even I know address I don't know where is the street. True luck is that you can by map at supermarket. I can't describe look at her face when we show up. Her parents was very angry but when we take out bottle of rakija from peach they change their mind. They put us at the table so we can lunch traditional meal beans in oven. So because we already there we decide to get tour around city. A lot of photos and smiles that was score for that day. In the morning we refuile car and with old map we go. Border with Greece was fast we didnt have norhing to declare. I remember as kid we turn sings in another direction so we lost again. But know in some foreign land with no knowledge of language. That next turn guide us to mountain Olimp. From there we saw beach. We managed.
