Unfortunately, your Armenian adventure just may include an earthquake as Armenia is in an active seismic zone. The most recent serious earthquake, in 1988, was near Spitak in the Lori region, killing between 25,000 and 50,000 people, injuring thousands and leaving several cities in ruins.
Armenia gets a bad rap. It's a country trying desperately to move forward and lose the stigma associated with various internal and border conflicts. Part of the Caucasus region of Eurasia, it's beautiful, exotic and feels like an adventure.
