Dave Seminara is a writer and former diplomat based in Florida. He has written about Costa Rica and other Latin American countries for The New York Times, BBC Travel, Chicago Magazine and a host of other publications. Seminara has written four travel-related books, including Footsteps of Federer: A Fan's Pilgrimage Across 7 Swiss Cantons in 10 Acts (March 2021), Mad Travelers: A Tale of Wanderlust, Greed & the Quest to Reach the Ends of the Earth (June 2021), Breakfast with Polygamists: Dispatches from the Margins of The Americas(2019), and Bed, Breakfast & Drunken Threats: Dispatches from the Margins of Europe (2016.)
