Kendall is an Australian journalist specializing in travel, food, and people features. A former travel editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, he is also the author of best-selling recipe book Coast (Penguin), founder of The Sydney Morning Herald Café and Bar Guide, and contributor to Gourmet Pilgrim’s Spain and Mexico volumes – the latter awarded Best Latin American title in the 2016 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
Since 2007 he has worked as a freelance travel and food journalist for Gourmet Traveller (and as editor of their annual travel awards and hotel guide), The Australian, Qantas magazine, The Australian Financial Review, Travel + Leisure, Destinasian and other leading publications in Australia and overseas.
