Mardi Gras in New Orleans is an overwhelming visual feast, which is why World Nomads decided to run its Travel Film Scholarship in the Big Easy.
The winner of the scholarship, Andrés Brenner, hit the ground running. Kitting himself up with a colorful costume and a gung-ho attitude, he launched into the parade to get a first-hand experience of the festivities as they unfolded.
His swashbuckling filmmaking style even saw him hitchhike to get on top of a major parade float! (After a near-miss with the local police authorities.)
In his film, he shares how to have a truly kick-ass Mardi Gras experience!
