Am I covered by travel insurance if there's a travel warning in place where I'm going?

Sometimes a travel warning advising you not to go to a certain location may be issued by a government body. As we’ve recently changed our insurer, please select the date you bought your policy to find out how this may affect you:

Policies purchased on or after 1 Nov 2018 (GMT)

Policies purchased before 1 Nov 2018 (GMT)

For policies purchased on or after 1 Nov 2018:

Your policy is not designed to cover you for needless risks or expected or known events, which includes travelling to or in areas where your Government expects something to happen which may impact your health, safety or travels.
