If a violent incident has been declared a terrorist act by the US government, your policy may provide coverage for trip delay/interruption or trip cancellation.
If you’re currently traveling, you may face unexpected costs from travel delays due to a terrorist incident in a city listed on your itinerary. World Nomads plans offer trip delay coverage when flights are delayed for 6 or more hours, and trip interruption coverage may also apply if your trip can’t be completed or if it’s necessary to return home early.
Trip cancellation may also be available if a city on your itinerary has been hit by a terror attack within 30 days of your scheduled departure date. Although if you’re on an organized tour and a substitute itinerary is offered by the tour operator, trip cancellation is not available. Check your policy for all the details.
