Tips for New Zealand travellers

  • Stay up to date with the latest travel advisories and safety information for your destination at
  • Research reciprocal healthcare agreements between New Zealand and your planned destination. New Zealand has reciprocal health agreements with only two countries: Australia and the United Kingdom. These agreements provide limited access to publicly funded healthcare for essential medical treatment if you are a citizen of the other country visiting New Zealand, or a New Zealand citizen visiting Australia or the UK. Travel insurance is designed to provide protection that goes beyond these agreements.
  • Planning adventure activities? Whether you plan to ski the slopes of Canada or dive the reefs in Southeast Asia, if you plan to take part in snow sports or adventure activities, ensure your travel insurance plan covers the specific activities. An additional premium may be required, i.e. for snow sports.

This is only a summary of coverage and does not include the full terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of the policy. You should read your Policy Document in full, so you understand what is and isn’t covered. That way there won’t be any surprises if you need to use it. If you have any questions, pleaseget in touch.
