Looking for comprehensive travel insurance options to cover your (or your child’s) adventure overseas? World Nomads has designed our travel insurance cover with the adventurous traveler in mind.
While we won't say our travel insurance is fully comprehensive (because it doesn't cover everything), our travelers get up to all sorts of different things, so we offer two levels of coverage under our Standard and Explorer plans. Our plans cover more than 150 activities, sports, work and volunteer experiences, for both the more and the less adventurous among us.
All of World Nomads policies include:
You also have access to World Nomads language guides, safety information, travel guides and more.
Our policies aren’t designed to cover everything, so take the time to read the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions in the policy wording for full details so that there are no surprises if you need to use it. If you’re not sure if something is covered, please get in touch.
When you get a quote you’ll be able compare the benefits between the Standard and Explorer plans, and download the policy wording before you buy.
The level of cover you’ll have for any Coronavirus (COVID-19)-related events will depend on your Country of Residence and the plan you choose.
If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 while overseas, your benefits may include:
Some of our plans offer coverage for additional COVID-19-related events such as cancellation following a physician-certified positive diagnosis to assist our travelers.
To find out what cover applies to you, select your country of residence and read our What’s Covered for Coronavirus article, which has all of the details, including benefit limits, conditions and exclusions.
If you put yourself in danger then we won’t cover you. This includes going to places the authorities in your country of residence or your destination country tell you not to, doing activities that you’re not qualified for or that are too dangerous. We have a list of covered activities in our policies and if you’re not sure, give us a call and we’ll let you know if we’ll cover it or not.
Other things we won’t cover include:
I was surfing at Balangan beach in Bali and I was cut twice by a fin when catching a wave. One cut was ont my right leg and the other on my left foot. I got out of the surf straight away and went to get medical treatment at the BIMC in Kuta. After the wounds were treated I was told to return to get them check every 48 hours.
