Travelling on a one way ticket? Don’t have a return flight booked? No problem! You can still buy a policy, but read on for details of how your cover may be affected when travelling one way…..
The good news is that you don’t need a return ticket to buy this travel insurance. Unlike other travel insurers, you can also buy the policy while already travelling with or without a ticket home.
So, no need for a return ticket, BUT as the cost of a return ticket is considered a part of any normal trip cost, this means that if you must return home and you don't have a return ticket, we'll deduct from your claim either:
But we’ll always deduct the one that’s the lesser amount.
If you have no other claim from which we can deduct this cost, we'll seek recovery of the cost of the transport home directly from you, following your return home (see Section 2 - Medical Evacuation & Repatriation for details).
Travel insurance is not designed to cover everything, so take the time to read the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the policy wording for what is and is not covered. This way there are no surprises if you do need to use it. If you are unsure, contact us for help.
