The world has about 195 countries and World Nomads travel insurance will go with you to most of them. That said, there are exceptions.
We don’t cover trips to dangerous places. For example, you may void your cover if you decide to go anywhere with:
Hostilities, whether a war has been declared or not. This can include acts of a foreign enemy or of terrorists, insurrection, martial law, blockade, explosion or use of a weapon of mass destruction.
Nuclear reactions or radioactive fallout.
Epidemics which have been placed under the direction of the public authorities.
A “do not travel” advisory from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland (EEA residents excluding Switzerland) or the US Department of State (everyone else), even if this country is listed on your Certificate of Insurance. If the relevant government issues a “do not travel” advisory after you buy your policy, travelers with the Explorer plan may be eligible for pre-trip cancellation, trip interruption and additional expenses. Travelers with the Standard plan do not have this cover.
Governments can issue or change warnings without notice, so always check with World Nomads before you pay anything towards your trip.
We also don’t cover activities or expeditions in remote and inaccessible areas, such as Antarctica, the Arctic Circle or Greenland, unless approved by us before you leave on holiday.
This summary does not include the full terms, limits, exclusions and conditions of the policy. You should read your policy wording in full so you understand what is and isn’t covered and take a copy with you, when you go. That way there won’t be any surprises if you need to use it. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
