If you’re traveling on a one-way ticket and don’t have a return flight booked the good news is you can still be covered by our travel insurance policies, but there are some things to be aware of.

We offer two plans – Standard and Explorer – each of which offers different levels of coverage. It is up to you to choose what plan has the right level of coverage to meet your travel needs.
You don’t need a return ticket to purchase one of our policies. Simply go online and get a quote 24/7. You can also buy the policy while already traveling with or without a ticket home.
If you need to make a claim on your policy, you can get the process started online. If you have an emergency and need help, you can contact our Emergency Assistance Team at any time.
As the cost of a return ticket is considered a part of any normal trip, in the event that you need to return to your Country of Residence due to an insured event, the cost of a ticket home is not covered under this policy. If you must return home and you don't have a return ticket, we may deduct from your claim:
But we’ll always deduct the one that’s the lesser amount.
However, if deemed medically necessary and agreed to by us, we may pay for any upgrade costs for you to travel home.
If you have no other claim from which we can deduct this cost, we may seek recovery of the cost of the transport home directly from you, following your return home.
Word Nomads offers cover for more than 100 countries worldwide, but there are some destinations that may not be covered for various reasons. You should always make sure you are covered for all of the destination(s) you are planning to visit.
We won’t cover any costs that directly or indirectly relate to or arise from you travelling to, planning to travel to, or choosing to remain in a country or region that is the subject of a government warning of ‘Do Not Travel’ issued by the U.S. Department of State
